The teaser also reached BJP leaders in Punjab, who called it a deliberate move to create communal rifts within the Sikh community by showing a Muslim actor playing the role of the Sikh guru.
BJP Punjab spokesperson Prithpal Singh Baliwal has filed a complaint with SGPC, also urging the Punjab Police and Cyber Cell to trace the perpetrator and take immediate action.
On the work front
As for Aamir Khan, he was last seen in the 2022 release, Laal Singh Chaddha, which was a massive box-office disappointment. The film also starred Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh in prominent roles.
The actor will return to the big screen with Sitaare Zameen Par this year. It will be the prequel of the 2008 blockbuster, Taare Zameen Par. The movie also stars Genelia D`Souza.
While no official dates are announced, the movie is set to release sometime this year.
