Amitabh Bachchan Reads Hindu Text Ramcharitmanas Ahead Of Kalki 2898 AD Release
This year is filled with exciting movies and entertaining content that will keep you hooked till the very end. Speaking of which, the much-awaited Kalki 2898 AD releases tomorrow, June 27, and we cannot keep calm. Ahead of the same, Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a pivotal role in the film, revealed that he was reading a few pages of Ramchartimanas.
The upcoming Mythology sci-fi movie has been one of the most anticipated movies of 2024. After unveiling the first looks of the actors, the Kalki 2898 AD trailer took the internet by storm.
Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the role of Ashwatthama in the film, took to his blog and penned down a rather heartfelt note on how the Hindu mythology text Ramchartimanas brings him calmness and peace.
Ahead of the release of his upcoming magnum opus, the Brahmastra actor took to his blog and shared a picture of one of the pages from the divine Hindu scripture, sharing his manifestation.

“We are in time after ages, and the age of the ages is beginning to get a control, which is recommended and practiced all over, so the effect of that early bird shall be exercised and the results reverted upon,” he wrote, sharing the picture.
Trying to translate the verse in English, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Without knowing divinity, there is no belief. Without belief, there is no love, and without love, how can there be devotion? Just like the reflected smoothness of water, it is never still or stagnant. Without a guru, there can be no learning; without reclusion and quietude, there can be learning. The Veda and the Puraan say that without the prayer of devotion to Hari, there can be peace and calm.”

“Can a boat ever move without being in water? Without the earth, can there be trees that grow?" and many more such examples to exemplify the presence and the prayers to the Almighty, in the absence of which a lot is not possible,” the translation concluded.
Ending the blog on a positive note, the megastar wrote, “I pray for eternal peace and calm.". Whoever listens to it, may there be fructification.”
At a recent press conference, Amitabh Bachchan confessed that he was rather taken aback after listening to the narration and concept of the film. "When Nag Ashwin came and explained his idea to me, for the long time after he left, I was thinking, ‘What the hell is Nagi drinking?’” the actor said.
