Anushka Sharma On Parenting: "Virat And I Are Not Perfect Parents But..."

Anushka Sharma on parenting with Virat Kohli
One of the incredibly talented actresses in Bollywood, Anushka Sharma is also a doting mother to her children, Vamika and Akaay. After giving birth to her son this year, she and Virat Kohli seem to have moved to London.
Despite being public figures, the actor-cricketer couple enjoy their privacy and prefer to keep their private lives away from the limelight. They have kept their children away from the paparazzi and media attention, as a result spending most of the time in the British capital.
The actress returned to Mumbai for a brief visit for a meet and greet event hosted by a food brand she endorses. During the event, Anushka Sharma opened up about parenting with Virat Kohli, cooking for her kids, creating an organized schedule, and everything in between.
"We had this discussion at home that if we don’t make the food our moms made, we won’t be passing these recipes on to our kids," Anushka said, further adding, "Sometimes I cook, and sometimes my husband cooks, but I do cheat by calling my mom for recipes."

The doted mother also opened up about how she loves sticking to a schedule for the children, despite the couple`s frequent travels.
“I am very particular about routine. By creating a schedule for them, I give them a sense of control. Meal times are fixed, no matter where we are,” Sharma shared, highlighting how it helps regulate the children`s lives.
Speaking about the societal pressure parents face these days, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan star said, "There is so much pressure to be this perfect parent," continuing, "But we’re not perfect, and that’s okay. It’s important to show kids that we are flawed, so they don`t grow up with unrealistic expectations."

She also opened up about how their social lives have evolved ever since the two became parents. “People invite us to dinner, and I’m like, You’re probably eating a snack at the time we eat dinner,” she joked.
On the work front, Anushka Sharma will next be seen in Chakda Xpress, a biopic on legendary Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Her last appearance was in Zero (2018), alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
