Asha Bhosle, a name that remains immortal for us! It was a huge loss for everyone, when we lost this gem, but as they say, people may go, but their legacy stays behind. The same is for our iconic and legendary singer Asha Bhosle ji. And now, as her first birth anniversary arrives after her death, we will get to hear her one last time on September 08, 2026.
Asha Bhosle’s celebrated voice is set to return to the big screen for one last time with her last recorded film song. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award honoree`s unreleased track, "Ae Meri Zindagi", "Tu Chupi Hai Kahan", will feature in the upcoming drama-comedy "Om Ka Hari". Recorded by Asha Bhosle before her passing, the song is scheduled to release on September 8, coinciding with what would have been her 93rd birthday. The release will mark a poignant final appearance for the immortal singer, whose voice has remained an integral part of Indian cinema for decades.

Anshuman Jha, who plays the lead in "Om Ka Hari", recently opened up about Asha Bhosle’s song being featured in the film. While talking about it with an entertainment portal, Jha said, ""Om Ka Hari" is deeply special to me because, at its heart, it is about the importance of saying ‘I love you’ to your father, something I never got the chance to do. To have Asha Ji’s voice carry the song that represents the catharsis of the film is one of the most profound and memorable moments of my life as an artist. Being in the studio with her was pure joy and contentment. I only wish she were here in person to celebrate this moment with us. But I know she is always with us in spirit, in her music, and in every life her voice continues to touch".
Asha Bhosle’s demise
On 11 April 2026, Asha ji was hospitalised at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to exhaustion and pulmonary chest infection. Her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle announced her admission via social media, requesting privacy during the treatment. She died on 12 April, at the age of 92, due to multiple organ failure.
