Lakshya shares his experience working with Aryan Khan on Bads Of Bollywood
The journey of an outsider in Bollywood is never easy. It takes endless patience and hope to get that one chance to make or break in the industry. For Lakshya Lalwani, that chance was The Bads Of Bollywood, an upcoming web series which marks Aryan Khan`s directorial debut.
Lakshya made his big screen debut with Kill. However, he was waiting for something commercial and larger-than-life to come his way. It was with The Bads of Bollywood that he led the series.
“My life has always been such. Mujhe har cheez rulake milti hai. But I feel if [something comes] quick, it doesn’t last. If you work hard and sincerely on something for a long time, it works out,” says the actor.

Over the years, Lakshya and his co-stars, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, and Anya Singh, have waited with bated breath to shine on the screen after constantly shooting under the sun.
"It wasn`t easy," recalls the Kill star, adding, "People used to say, `Tumhara serial kab aayega?` But we were aware that what we were making would take time. Aryan has taken his time in writing, shooting, and editing it.”
Lakshya on working with Aryan Khan
While everyone is eagerly waiting for The Bads of Bollywood, cinephiles are excited to see what the man behind it has done in his debut series. All eyes are on Aryan Khan, especially because he comes from a privileged and star-studded family.
However, Lakshya`s perception of Aryan being a "quintessential star kid" was shattered on the very first day he met him.

“You have read about star kids and seen them on pap pages. All of that perception was broken the first day I met him. He speaks and thinks the way Raghav, Anya, Sahher, and I do. He speaks in Hindi. He knows about the discomfort of life because of what he went through. So, he was compassionate," Lakshya shared.
The actor further added, "He knew we were all outsiders and was sensitive about where we were coming from. I remember he wore the same shoes the whole year because he wanted to save time and give as much time as he could to work. His beard and hair would grow, and he wouldn’t cut it [because he was focused on the show], and then out of the blue, he would cut all his hair. Nothing about him said that he is a star kid. We used to say, ‘Yeh toh humare jaisa ladka hai.’”
When Aryan Khan met Lakshya`s parents
The star kid also met his lead actor`s parents at the premiere of Kill. His down-to-earth nature shocked Lakshya`s father in a pleasant way.
Lakshya recalled, “He touched my father’s feet. My dad was in awe of him and said, ‘This is Shah Rukh Khan’s son? ‘Tu kabhi mere paer nahin chhoota!’ He will surprise you. I was genuinely surprised by his humility, how sensitive he is and his wit. Everything about him has been refreshing.”
What`s noteworthy is Aryan`s effortlessness to blend with his surroundings. “He can be a chameleon and become a star kid with his friends and people he has grown up with and then become like us as well. He knew both worlds very well," Lalwani added.
The upcoming web series also stars Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Karan Johar, and Gautami Kapoor in pivotal roles, with Badshah, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and S. S. Rajamouli in special appearances.
The Bads of Bollywood will stream on Netflix from September 18.
