Her interest started off in this industry when she was a kid. "I used to be a sickly child who suffered major gut issues and weakness. My cousins used to make fun of me that if Suman`s not around us, she might be sitting on a pot. That led me to learn a lot about how our body functions when given the right kind and amount of food," said the expert.
When asked about how fitness and exercise have played an important role in her life, Agarwal took a trip down memory lane and recalled working out with her father ever since she was a kid.
"My father made sure that me and my siblings were always active and out of the house. He encouraged us to participate in all kinds of sports, do yoga, and be outdoorsy. Since my childhood, I`ve always been very active and inclined towards fitness, thanks to my dad."
She spoke to Radio City at length about how fans and commoners tend to be influenced by their favorite actors` diet and exercise, thus trying to implement the same.
"These actors and their lives are super hectic. They are always under the limelight and constantly compared to their peers. One little incident and it makes a huge headline. What we should remember is that they put immense amount of hard work and dedication into looking the way they look on screens. It is so much more than just makeup. They eat right, they sleep right, and they maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle," Suman Agarwal added.
When asked about what is the secret to a healthy lifestyle in today`s era where stress and constant hustle have become a glorifying subject, her answer was rather surprising.
She said, "Yes, you can eat healthy, find substitutes for things like Maida (all-purpose flour), avoid deep-fried and junk food, and many more of these practices. However, what people often miss out on is a good night`s sleep. Your body requires that 8-9 hour rest where it heals from whatever you have eaten or drank throughout the day."
"If you don`t give your body a proper 8-9 hours of sleep or indulge in habits like midnight snacking or drinking frequently, you may not see the desired results despite switching to a healthy diet. A balanced sleep plays a vital role in staying nourished and active," Agarwal added.
