Deepika Padukone bakes a cute cake for her daughter Dua`s first birthday
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have always dreamt of becoming parents, and their wish came true after the couple were blessed with a baby girl in 2024. This time last year, the parents welcomed their first child and took the internet by storm.
The duo named their daughter Dua Padukone Singh. Deepika and Ranveer`s little munchkin turns a year older today, and the doting mother leaves no chance to make it as special and personalised as possible, even for her one-year-old.
The Piku actress took to Instagram and shared a picture of a delicious-looking chocolate crumble cake with a candle on top. Her caption read, "My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday."

Ranveer Singh showered love on Deepika and praised her for being a great mother. His comment read, "Best Mumma!" with a red heart and an evil eye emoji.
Dua Singh Padukone turns one
The RamLeela couple had an intimate and low-key celebration as they rang in their daughter`s first birthday on Monday, September 9. Reportedly, they celebrated Dua`s birthday at their Mumbai residence with their close friends and family.

Both the actors have been extremely careful with their conscious decision of not revealing Dua`s face on social media or anywhere in public. A few videos revealing the little one`s face were doing the rounds of social media; however, they were immediately taken down on the parents` persistent request for privacy.

For the uninitiated, Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February 2024 and welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on September 8, 2024.
In an old interview, the Kalki 2898 AD actress revealed why they named their daughter Dua. She said, "It felt like a beautiful summary of what she means to us and why she means what she means to us."
On the work front
Deepika Padukone was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. The movie did exceptionally well and is coming up with its second instalment. She is currently busy shooting Atlee`s next with Allu Arjun.
As for Ranveer Singh, his last film was Singham Again, where he reprised his character Simmba. He is gearing up for Dhurandhar, an Aditya Dhar film co-starring R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Sanjay Dutt.
The film will see a theatrical release in December this year. He also has Don 3 along with Kriti Sanon in the pipeline.
