Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are the power couple of Bollywood. They always shower each other with love and respect for each other`s boundaries. They got married on 1st December 2018 in the presence of their loved ones. The couple welcomed daughter Malti Marie via surrogate to the world on 21 January 2022. Recently, on a podcast of Armchair Expert the actress revealed how she was approached by Nick in 2016 while she was still in a complicated relationship.
While talking to Dax Shepherd, Priyanka Chopra disclosed that in the beginning, she was not at all ready to indulge with Nick Jonas during their initial contact because of the age difference as she was 35 years old and the American singer was just 25. Their conversation began in 2016 when Nick sent her a text on Twitter and they swapped numbers. They met for the first time during the Met Gala in 2017 and surprisingly, they started dating in May 2018.
Two months later, the duo tied the knot in December 2018 and welcomed their first child via surrogacy in 2022. In the year 2016, the actress was in a complicated relationship but then their common friends urged her to talk to Nick. Priyanka revealed, “His brother (Kevin Jonas) loved Quantico. I`m really glad because he told Nick, pointing me at a billboard, ‘You should call her.’ He (Nick) had a few people being like ‘Call her’, so he just DMed me and I was like ‘Why don’t you just text me?’ because my social team will just read these messages. He was like ‘Ya, ya, ya, you just want to give me your number.’ I kinda did [and I] didn’t wanna admit at that time because I was in a relationship.”
On the work front, the actress is going to play a pivotal role in the upcoming Amazon Prime spy thriller series Citadel. Priyanka is also making a smashing comeback to Bollywood with her highly anticipated film Jee Le Zaraa co-starring Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
