The much-anticipated film, Idli Kadai, starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen, is out in cinemas, and fans are showering love on the latest Tamil release. The family film is a slow-paced, homely cinematic masterpiece with a rather predictable climax.
It follows the story of Murugesan, a five-star restaurant employee who decides to go back to his roots to follow in the footsteps of his father, a respected man in their community, where he ends up running his own idli shop.
In this simple story comes a twist when his tyrannical ex-employer tries to shut down Murugesan`s family business to run his own. The feeling of belongingness to his culture and roots whilst fighting against an arrogant man is the theme of Idli Kadai.
