Kangana Ranaut Criticized For Comparing PM Modi To Lord Rama
One of the most influential political figures, prime minister Narendra Modi has played a crucial role in making India one of the leading world economies. He turns 74 today.
While his journey from a tea vendor to becoming India`s pirme minister has inspired many, one of the popular actors who often praises him is Kangana Ranaut. The Queen actress contested for Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Mandi constituency and even won the same.
The nation was taken by storm when the results of the elections poured in. It was no surprise that Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading by a majority of seats in states like Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.
As PM Modi turns 74, here`s a throwback to one of Kangana Ranaut`s controversial statement that had netizens criticize her.
Her tweet read, "Lord Rama has come #Election Results." Reacting to her post, a user replied, "She`s literally comparing PM Modi with the Hindu God. Is this allowed in Hinduism?"

The Tanu Weds Manu actress hit back and wrote, "Yes, it is allowed. Shri Krishna has said in Geeta that I am the same as my true devotee; there is no difference between him and me; we have such cute and chilled-out gods! No beheading, no whip lashing; you also come to our team."
"Also, my quote meant that Modi ji has brought Rama ji to Ayodhya, so the public has brought him (victory). But what you understood is also not wrong," Kangana further added, referring to Ram Mandir being constructed in Ayodhya, whose inauguration ceremony will be held in January 2024.
Kangana, who is a BJP supporter, said there is a `Modi wave` throughout Himachal. During the elections, she even requested the citizens to exercise their right to vote.

Speaking more about PM Modi, the actress said, "There is a complete Modi wave in Himachal Pradesh. Our Prime Minister has conducted almost 200 rallies and given at least 80–90 interviews in just two months."
The actress will next be seen in the political drama Emergency, where she portrays the role of the late Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Initially slated to release on September 6, the film has been indefinitely delayed as it awaits a nod from CBFC.
