Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Name Change Controversy From India To Bharat, Says She Predicted Years Ago

Amid the India name change controversy to Bharat, Kangana Ranaut has reacted yet again to the proposed resolution. The reports of renaming come after an official dinner invitation for the G20 delegates went viral on the internet. Instead of the President of India, Draupadi Murmu was invited as the President of Bharat.
Joining many Twitteratis, Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter (now X) and said that she predicted this two years ago. As per a report shared by the Hindustan Times, in her past statement, the actress had suggested letting go of the name India and having the country renamed Bharat.

Sharing a screenshot of the report on her Twitter account, the Tanu Weds Manu actress elaborated on the importance of the name Bharat. Resharing a fan`s post who said the actress is always two steps ahead, she wrote, "And some call it black magic. It’s simply gray matter, honey (similing face emoticon). Congratulations to everyone! Freed from a slave name. Jai Bharat."
She wrote, "What is there to love in this name? First of all, they couldn’t pronounce ‘Sindhu’ toh usko bigad ke ‘ Indus’ kar diya. Phir kabhi Hindos kabhi Indos kuch bhi gol mol karke India bana diya. They turned Sindhu into the Indus. Then Hindos became Indos. From the time of the Mahabharata, all the kingdoms that participated in the Great War of Kurukshetra came under one continent called Bharat, so why were they calling us Indu Sindu?

Further to the tweet, Kangana added, "Also, the name Bharat is so meaningful; what is the meaning of India? I know they called them Red Indians that because, in old English, Indian simply meant a slave. They named us Indians because that was our new identity given to us by the British. Even in the olden days, in the dictionary, Indian’s meaning was mentioned asslave. They recently changed it. Also, it’s not our name; we are Bhartiya, not Indians."
She also has Emergency and Tejas in the pipeline.

Kangana on India being renamed to Bharat
