Mohanlal`s generous 100 crore offering to Lord Murugan
Mohanlal is one of the few Malayalam actors who enjoyed massive success with his back-to-back blockbusters. After L2: Empuraan, it was Thudarum that captivated the audience and received rave reviews from critics as well.
Following the monstrous triumph of the film, a gratitude-filled Mohanlal offered a precious golden Vel (spear) to Lord Murugan. He made the generous donation at the Thirumalai Kumarasamy temple in the Tenkasi district of Tamil Nadu.
Sources say that the actor offered prayers at the popular temple situated at Sengkottai in Tenkasi district in Tamil Nadu. He then offered the golden Vel to the deity. Interestingly, Mohanlal`s character in Thudarum is also a Lord Murugan devotee.
The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared pictures from his visit. He wrote, "Thank you, Almighty #Thudarum." Take a look.

Meanwhile, theatre owners and distributors have been expressing their gratitude to the makers of Thudarum, as the Malayalam blockbuster brought back the footfalls, thus ending the dry phase of Indian cinema.

The digital release of Thudarum was also postponed after seeing a tremendous response from the fans and cinephiles. The movie has grossed over 236 crore worldwide. It collected a whopping 100 crore in Kerala alone.
Making the announcement of his film crossing 100 crores, the superstar shared the exciting news on X and wrote, "#Thudarum storms into the record books with its first 100 crore mark exclusively at the Kerala box office! A milestone that we created together! Thank you, Kerala."

The L2: Empuraan also penned a heartfelt note as he thanked his fans for showering immense love on the film.
He wrote, "I`m deeply moved and truly humbled by the love and heartfelt response for #Thudarum. Each message and every word of appreciation has touched me in ways I can`t fully express."
