Mukesh Khanna Gets Trolled After He Announces His Return As Shaktimaan
When we think of India`s presumably first superhero, our minds will instantly think of Shaktimaan. The character that ruled the 1990s was a friend to every kid and an enemy to every bad guy. Played by Mukesh Khanna, the veteran actor is now all set to return as the OG superhero.
For the uninitiated, Khanna played the role of the superhero in the early 1990s, where he taught morale lessons to kids and millennials. The show also featured Tamraj Kilvish (Andhere ka Samrat) as the main antagonist.
Now, Mukesh Khanna is all set to return as Shaktimaan to teach some lessons to today`s generation. However, fans were instantly disappointed with this announcement and gathered to troll the actor.
Sharing the video, he wrote, "It`s Time for Him to Return." Our First Indian SUPER TEACHER- SUPER HERO. YES ! As darkness and evil prevail over children of today... It`s time for him to return. He returns with a message. He returns with a teaching. For today`s generation. Welcome Him. With both hands !!!!!"

As soon as the video went up, one user wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), "Don`t ruin Shaktiman, please, don`t do it," while another commented, "Certain historical characters are best left in their original form—unrevised and unaltered."
Some were even of the opinion that he`s too old to play the part. A netizen wrote, "Bro, he`s too old for this now," and another fan added, "Can’t be happening again, no."
"I did well in Shatimaan because it came from within me... Acting is all about confidence. I forget about the camera when I am shooting...I am even happier than the others about becoming Shaktimaan again," the actor shared.
On bringing back Shatimaan in the generation filled with GenZ and GenX, Mukesh Khanna added, "I am carrying out my duty that I started in 1997 and which went on till 2005. I think that my work should reach the public in 2027 because today`s generation is running blindly. They have to be stopped and told to catch their breath."
The release date of the show is yet to be announced.
