Nawazuddin Siddiqui To Headline An Adaptation Of American Medical Drama
One of the finest actors in Bollywood, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has marked his stamp of versatility, especially in the OTT space with streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime, and will be back with yet another interesting project.
The Gangs of Wasseypur actor, alongside Saif Ali Khan, starred in Netflix`s maiden Indian web series titled Sacred Games. It made a pivotal evolution of OTT in India, placing our entertainment on the global map.
Now, Nawazudding Siddiqui is all set to headline the Indian adaptation of the American medical drama, House. It will stream on Disney+ Hotstar with Banijay Asia producing the same. Fans are excited to see the actor back in action in the long form of storytelling.
Screenwriter-turned-filmmaker Vijay Maurya has tapped into directing the web series. For the uninitiated, Maurya has previously written some incredible films like ‘Gully Boy,’ ‘Toofaan,’ ‘Darlings,’ and ‘Agni.’
The project is currently under pre-production and will get off the ground in mid-2025. Other details like the cast, storyline, number of seasons, and more have been kept under wraps.

Nawazuddin will play the brilliant and unbending medical genius in this yet-to-be-titled show. He will be taking over the role of Hugh Laurie, who originally played Dr. Gregory House in the American medical drama.
The original show, created by David Shore, ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012. It followed the life of Dr. Gregory House, a misanthropic, cynical medical genius who leads a team of diagnosticians despite his own complications.
The Sacred Games actor was thrilled to hear the script and was immediately onboard. This will mark his comeback after a six-year-long hiatus from the big screen and OTT.
Apart from the Indian adaptation of House, Nawazudding Siddiqui has a few films lined up. He is currently shooting for Netflix`s Raat Akleli Hai season 2 alongside Chitrangada Singh and Radhika Apte.
He has finished shooting for Maddock Films` Thama, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. He also has some more films in the kitty, like `Bole Chudiyaan’ and ‘Noorani Chehra’, and Bhavesh Mandalia’s ‘Lion King.’.
