Ram Gopal Varma predicts Dhurandhar 2 success
Dhurandhar 2 has taken the internet by storm and has been the hot topic of discussion among moviegoers. After the first part became a monstrous success, fans are waiting with bated breath for the sequel.
As soon as the Dhurandhar 2 trailer was revealed, it sent waves across the internet, leaving every Bollywood fan only talking about Ranveer Singh`s class performance and Aditya Dhar`s mastermind.
Now, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma predicts the upcoming spy espionage drama can send all the South Indian films "for a toss" if it crosses over 1500 crore in collections.

In a conversation with Variety India, the filmmaker opened up about Dhurandhar: The Revenge and shared his excitement. He also spoke about the expectations around Aditya Dhar`s directorial.

When asked about the high expectations from the film, he said, “I think it will be fantastic. See, more than anything else, the audience has invested in the characters and the story so much. I think they will just follow the trajectory of the characters from part one. They shot both parts simultaneously, right? So it`ll be like one film split into two."
"I don`t think they`ll have any over-expectations. This is not like a franchise. It`s like the Baahubali films. Yeah, like that only. I feel Dhurandhar 2 will do better business than part one. Also, they are promoting Dhurandhar 2 heavily in the south,” he added.
Varma further explained, “You can`t have people flying in the air and kicking in the air. It`s got to be all real. You see, if Dhurandhar 2 creates numbers like 1500-2000 crores, then all the South films will go for a toss, I think. All South films are designed in the old-school manner.”

When the makers of the spy espionage drama revealed the trailer for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the Satya director took to X (formerly Twitter) and reacted to the same.
He shared a one-liner, praising Aditya Dhar`s vision, and wrote, “This is STRATOSPHERIC LEVEL ... @AdityaDharFilms is on a RAMPAGE of REVENGE #Dhurandhar2.”
The film is all set to release in theatres on March 19.
