Samay Raina`s latest Instagram story on India-Pak war
Amid the building tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, many civilians and families near the Jammu and Kashmir border area remain at unrest. This also includes comedian Samay Raina`s father, Rajesh Raina.
The infamous comedian shared chilling details about an emotional call with his father and also praised the Indian armed forces for protecting the country selflessly.
Samay first took to his Instagram story on Thursday night and prayed for everyone in his hometown, Jammu. His note read, “My prayers with everyone in Jammu. Sleep peacefully and believe in the Indian army Jai Hind (Indian flag emoji).”
Shortly after this, the India`s Got Latent founder shared another heartfelt message on Instagram stories and revealed some emotional details about his call with his father last night.
He started with writing, “My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry — the Indian armed forces have everything under control. His calmness quiets my restless thoughts."
"I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains. Outside my window, my neighbor`s lights still glow. I know little about him, that`s just how it is here. I wonder if he, too, has family in Jammu, perhaps in Pathankot — or if he might be the son of a brave soldier, who won`t sleep tonight, waiting for a morning call from his father on the front lines. My utmost respect to the armed forces and their families for all the sacrifices they make for our safety. Goodnight. Jai Hind," wrote Samay Raina, adding a red heart and Indian flag emoji.
Samay Raina`s story comes two days after India launched Operation Sindoor, a precise and strategic answer to the cowardly Pahalgam terror attack where Pakistani terrorists killed 26 innocent tourists in Baisaran Valley.
A Kashmiri origin, the comedian grew up in Jammu city and comes from a conservative Kashmiri Pandit family. His father, Rajesh Raina, is a journalist by profession and his mother, Sweeti Raina, is a homemaker.
Many celebrities including Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, among others, have extended thier support and gratitude to the Indian armed forces amid the India-Pakistan war.
