Sanjana Sanghi pens a heartwarming note as Dil Bechara turns five
Sanjana Sanghi has created her niche in Bollywood after she became a household name with Dil Bechara. While she made her debut in Rockstar, it was with the romantic drama that got her a breakthrough in 2020.
Dil Bechara completed five years today, and the actress paid an emotional ode, remembering the late Sushant Singh Rajput. The film was helmed by casting director Mukesh Chabbra, in his first stint as a director.

For the uninitiated, Dil Bechara is the remake of the popular Hollywood film, Fault In Our Stars, which was an adaptation of a best-selling novel. The Bollywood version narrates the story of Kizie Basu, a young girl suffering from thyroid cancer, who meets the vivacious Manny, a cancer survivor himself.
The two navigate life amid health struggles as Manny opens a different world for Kizie with his optimistic approach to life. They eventually fall head-over-heels in love. The film touches on themes like love, loss, pain, and finding light in the darkest times.
This also marked Sushant Singh Rajput`s last movie before he tragically passed away in 2020. His death continues to be a mystery, with some calling it suicide.
Released on Hotstar during the pandemic, Dil Bechara continues to remain one of the most-watched OTT releases of that year.
As for Sanjana Sanghi, after starring in Mukesh Chabbra`s directorial, she appeared in movies like Dhak Dhak, Rashtra Kavach Om, Kadak Singh, and Woh Bhi Din The.
