Sonu Nigam Attacked By MLA`s Son While Performing At A Concert In Mumbai, Files FIR Against Him

Ace Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam was rushed to the hospital after being attacked by Shiv Sena MLA`s son and nephew during a live concert. On Sunday, the singer was performing at a concert in Chembur when Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Phaterpekar’s son Swapnil Phaterperkar and his nephew interrupted the singer amidst the performance in an attempt to click a selfie with him. Unable to fulfill their wish, they created a ruckus at the concert.
Why Did Shiv Sena MLA`s Son Attack Sonu Nigam
From what we hear, Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Phaterpekar’s son Swapnil Phaterperkar and his nephew attended the Sonu Nigam concert held in Chembur. Keen to get a selfie clicked with the singer, they interrupted Nigam while he was performing on the stage. When bodyguards and security tried to stop them, the matter only worsened as they got into a fight with the guards, which resulted in chaos.
A video of attacks on Sonu Nigam has been doing rounds on the internet. The singer was immediately rushed to the hospital and it seems, he is doing well. However, his close friend Rabbani Khan (his guru Ghulam Mustafa Khan’s son) and his bodyguard have sustained a few injuries

Opening up on the same, the Kal Ho Naa Ho singer said, “After the concert, I was coming down from stage when a man Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar held me. Then he pushed Hari & Rabbani who came to save me. Then I fell on steps. I filed a complaint so that people should think about forcefully taking selfies & causing scuffle."
Recent reports also confirm the singer has filed a police complaint against Shiv Sena MLA`s son and a case has been registered against the accused under sections 323, 341, 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) with regards to being physically violent, causing harm, and endangering the safety of others. The police also confirmed the accused name being Swapnil Phaterpekar.
