The Conjuring Last Rites leaves fans disappointed, garners mixed reviews on Twitter
Hollywood`s infamous supernatural horror series, The Conjuring, comes to an end with The Conjuring: Last Rites, as Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) end the chapter with what looks like the deadliest nightmare ever.
The ninth and final instalment of the supernatural horror universe focuses more on the Warren family and their story dealing with the demons. It gives you a peek into their family history as opposed to focusing on the paranormal activities, which the Conjuring series is known for.
While cinephiles are emotional as one of their most-loved franchises is coming to an end, they weren`t going easy when it came to giving an honest review on social media.
Many called the film `predictable`, `lengthy`, or a `laugh riot`. Some even said The Conjuring "didn`t carry the spine-chilling aura of the franchise."

If you`re planning to go for the final chapter of the supernatural horror universe, go without many expectations and only for the 4DX theatre experience. Netizens were harsh while sharing a review for the ninth and final chapter of The Conjuring.
While some were left disappointed, others rather enjoyed the jump scares and the personal story that focused on the Warrens.

A user penned a detailed review about the movie and called it a "slow burner", saying it gained momentum in the second half. They also lauded the makers for giving a `decent farewell` to The Conjuring Universe.
The user wrote, "#ConjuringTheLastRites - Personally, it didn’t quite carry the same spine-chilling aura as #TheConjuring2, #Annabelle, or #Nun 1&2. The first half was a very slow burner... But the second half truly found its rhythm, delivering some gripping moments."

"For me, the showdown of the Axe Man and Father Gordon massacre stood as the pinnacle of horror artistry in the film, crafted with tension and spectacle. On the whole, this offers a decent farewell to one of cinema’s most iconic horror franchises, #Conjuring," the review concluded.
Another Twitterati was left disappointed and called the final instalment the worst movie of the franchise.
Their tweet read, "#ConjuringTheLastRites is a complete letdown. nothing new or interesting for horror and thriller fans. It`s a waste of time and a massive disappointment. #Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is the absolute worst movie in the entire franchise."

A third post read, "#TheConjuringLastRites leans more into the Warrens’ family story than pure scares, wrapping emotional beats with unsettling terror. While billed as their most terrifying case, it doesn’t quite capture the tension or impact of the first two films."

However, there were some who praised the film and called it a good way to wrap up the supernatural horror franchise.
One review read, "#ConjuringTheLastRites is a good way to wrap up this franchise. It focuses heavily on the Warren family reminiscing on their career. It has a lot of great call-backs and a few jump scares. The ending is 1 of the better endings in the franchise."
