Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are probably one of the most loved couples in tinsel town. After tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2016, the actor-cricketer couple welcomed a baby girl in January 2021. While Virat continued to show his magic on the field, the Bollywood actress chose to stay away from movies and focus on her newborn. In a recent interview, the former Indian cricket captain spoke at length about how Anushka embraced motherhood, the sacrifices she has made for their daughter Vamika, the dull phase in his career, and everything in between.
Virat Kohli said Anushka Sharma has made some 'massive sacrifices' in the last two years after Vamika was born. Speaking about the last two years, he said what really mattered was that

In a recent podcast, Virat said,
"The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she (Anushka) made have been massive. Looking at her, I realized whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don't expect much because that is the basic requirement."He also spoke about how the Band Baaja Baarat actress inspires him.
"When you look for inspiration, you start from home and, obviously, Anushka has been a big inspiration for me. My life had a completely different perspective. When you fall in love with a person, you start processing those changes within you as well. Her outlook towards life was different and it urged me to change for the better and become more accepting of things," the cricketer further added.
Virat Kohli On His Lull Phase
Every cricketer will see a phase of downfall in their career and
Virat's case was no different. Speaking on the same, he admitted how the lull phase made him cranky.
In an interview with fellow cricketer Suryakumar Yadav, Kohli said, 'In my case, in denial, frustration was creeping in. I was very cranky, very snappy in my space. It was not fair on (wife) Anushka (Sharma), my closed ones, it's not fair on the people who support you. So I had to take responsibility and kind of put things in perspective.'

Netflix's Qala. She will be soon seen in her upcoming Bollywood biopic Chakda Xpress which is based on the ace Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. This will mark her first project after the birth of her daughter Vamika.
