Brodha V, one of the few hip-hop artists topping the indie charts, is known for his revolutionizing music in the rap world. Being one of the most followed artists in the independent music space, Brodha V has given us many feet-tapping hip-hop songs that we can listen to on a loop. Being one of the most loved artists on Radio City Freedom Awards, the hip-hop singer won the prestigious award twice. However, not many know that the Aathma Raama singer has also paved his way in Bollywood.
It all began with Radio City Freedom Awards Season 1 where Bollywood`s ace musician Vishal Dadlani recognized Brodha V`s potential. Winning the `Best Indie Hip-Hop Artist` for his most-loved song Aathma Raama, it was Dadlani presented the award. Along with this, he promised to have him sing one of the tracks in his then-upcoming movie Chennai Express.

Vighnesh Shivanand, who is popularly known by his stage name Brodha V, participated in Radio City Freedom Awards. His contribution to indie hip-hop was highly recognized and felicitated by the jury and fans. The Bollywood music producer loved his music, so much so, that he was signed to sing the popular track from Chennai Express titled `Ready Steady Po.`
Along with him, it was the Mumbai-based rapper Enkore (Ankur Johar) who joined Vishal Dadlani`s Chennai Express musical gang. Ever since Brodha V has seen his musical graph go upwards and onwards. Doing endless concerts, and tours, writing and releasing new songs, and being one of the shape-shifters of the independent hip-hop scene in India - Brodha V is probably the only Indian rapper to sing in English.
