Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for an all-out war with the neighbours in an attempt to put an end to terrorism. These five obvious signs indicate an India-Pakistan war looks rather imminent.

Tensions between neighbours India and Pakistan remain high as a series of recent intense meetings and strategic drills has fuelled speculation that India may be all set for a retaliatory military strike on Pakistan.
This follows the barbaric and cowardly Pahalgam terror attack where 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were killed by terrorists. Here are five indicators why an India-Pakistan war seems on the horizon.

1. PM Narendra Modi's meeting with military leadership
The Prime Minister has held several meetings with the heads of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force to understand their preparedness. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi updated Modi on their readiness.
These consultations suggest a thorough and strategic plan for India's response to the Pahalgam attack.

2. Operational freedom to Armed Forces
The government has granted a free hand to all Indian Armed Forces following the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack. This comes with operational freedom to determine the timing, mode, and targets of a potential strike.

3. Defence Minister's assertive statements
India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has publicly assured that the country will give a "befitting reply" to those responsible for the Pahalgam massacre. He also assured that under PM Modi's leadership, the perpetrators will be brutally punished.

4. Blackout drills in Ferozpur Cantonment
A 30-minute blackout rehearsal was conducted in the Ferozpur Cantonment area of Punjab on Sunday. The drill, which involves turning off all lights within the area, was a part of the increased security measures amid tensions with Pakistan.

5. Defence Secretary and PM Modi's meeting
Defence Secretary Rajesh kumar Singh met with Prime Minister Modi on Monday to debrief India's position and posture on retaliation following the Pahalgam terror attack. These developments occur after Pakistan's constant ceasefire on the LoC.
