1. Madras: 2014
This was the second Pa. Ranjith movie that he had written and directed. Madras starred Karthi and Cathrine Tresa in titular roles. Pa. Ranjith is known to bring in stories that are filled with high-octane action and intense drama. Sarpatta Parambarai was no different from his typical genre. The movie revolved around a young man who was given an opportunity to revive his boxing career.When he decides to take it, he faces endless challenges. Headlined by Arya, the movie became the second-most watched film on Amazon Prime Video.
5. Thangalaan: 2024
The filmmaker's latest project has fans and moviegoers excited, as Thangalaan is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year. Headlined by Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan, the movie will release on the occasion of Independence Day.Thangalaan is based on the true events of the lives of mine workers in the Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka.
