Were well into September, and it just got interesting with these highly anticipated movies and web series. From Thalapathy Vijays Greatest Of All Time, Aparkshakti Khurranas Berlin to Ananya Pandays Call Me Bae, this month will have something for everyone. From intense action to some light-hearted comedy, get ready to be entertained with these eight upcoming movies and web stories in September 2024.
1. Emergency: TBA
The Kangana Ranaut starrer also marks her debut as a director. The movie is a biopic of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, a formidable politician who shaped India in its formative years post independence.Emergency was intially scheduled to release on September 6, however, the film awaits CBFC's nod as they suggested more revisions in certain scenes.
While Kangana plays the lead character of Gandhi, the movie also features Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Choudhary, and the late Satish Kaushik in prominent roles.
2. Call Me Bae: September 6
Ananya Panday's OTT debut comes with a handful of satire, comedy, witty one-liners, and charming comedy. While some say it's a Bollywood version of Emily in Paris, others love the trailer.The Amazon Prime Video web series also stars Vir Das, Vihaan Samat, Varun Sood, and Varun Dhawan in pivotal roles.
3. GOAT: September 5
The highly anticipated Tamil action drama starring Thalapathy Vijay has already had fans waiting with bated breath. The actor plays a double role of both father and son.GOAT reunites Prabhu Deva, Vijay, and director Venkat Prabhu after a long time.
4. Berlin: September 13
Aparshakti Khurana and Ishwak Singh's Berlin is a spy thriller that will keep you gripped till the very end. Before its OTT release, the film was showcased on several film festivals, including MAMI, Stars Asian International Film Festival in Los Angeles, and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.Helmed by Atul Sabharwal, Berlin will stream on Zee5 from September 13.
5. The Buckingham Murders: September 13
With Kareena Kapoor headlining the spine-chilling murder mystery, The Buckingham Murders only gets interesting with every passing minute, promising to have you on the edge of your seats.Releasing in cinemas on September 13, the Hansal Mehta directorial also stars Ranveer Brar and Ash Tandon.
6. Yudhra: September 20
Headlined by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malvika Mohanan, Yudhra is an intense action drama with a hint of romance. It brings back Raghav Jyual as a menacing antagonist after his successful stint in Karan Johar's Kill.7. Devara Part 1: September 7
The much-awaited Telugu drama starring Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor is set for a grand theatrical release by the end of September. Helmed by Kortala Siva, Devara will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.8. Kill: September 6
After enjoying a successful theatrical run, Lakshya Lalwani and Raghav Juyal's high octane action drama will see an OTT release on September 6. Fans and moviegoers can watch Kill only on Disney+ Hotstar.9. Sector 36: September 13
The cast of Sector 36, which stars Vikrant Massey and Deepika Dobriyal, is enticing enough to binge-watch the film. The story revolves around a psychotic serial killer based on the infamous 2006 Noida serial killings.Helmed by Aditya Nimbalkar, Sector 36 releases on September 13 on Netflix.
