Kumkum Is The Crown That I Wear: Juhi Parmar

Popular actor Juhi Parmar won millions of hearts and got etched into the memory of the Indian audience as Kumkum. She spoke about her journey from television to her OTT debut to host Shlok Chaturvedi from Mumbai while interacting with him for the promotion of her new show 'Yeh Meri Family'. She even spoke about the responsibilities of being a single parent.

In the cult family drama 'Yeh Meri Family', Juhi Parmar excellently portrayed the character of Neerja Awasthi, who is a mother, a teacher, and a wife. Juhi made her debut on the OTT platform with this classic.

When asked about having any preference on the kind of character that she would play after receiving so much love from the audience as Kumkum, Juhi said,"I try doing it with my every character that I have played after Kumkum but Kumkum is something that is like the crown that I wear and I don't think I would want to take that off my head.'

She was further asked about the challenges and responsibilities she has to face being a single parent, Juhi confidently quipped, "I'm a double parent because I am doubling the responsibilities I am not just a mother but I'm a father too and um I am single-handedly taking care of everything for my daughter. Nobody prepares for being a single parent this is something that just happened during the course of time and the decision was taken keeping my daughter's best interest in mind and looking back I feel that I've been able to do uh justice to my role as a single parent because I have tried to do everything that I can to keep her happy to give her a good childhood good education a happy life. I have told Samaira that she has one parent who is equivalent to all the relations that she needs in her life."
