Alia Bhatt On Her ADHD Diagnosis: "I Used To Zone Out During Conversations"

Alia Bhatt Diagnosed With ADHD, Reveals Basic Signs And Symptoms
Alia Bhatt is currently soaring high on the success of her recent release, Jigra. While the film is receiving mixed reviews, her performance has been lauded by both fans and critics alike. The movie also stars Vedang Raina in the lead.
As she was on a promotional spree for Jigra, the actress gave a glimpse of her personal life and shared some intimate ancedotes that are inspiring and surprising at the same time. In a recent interview, Alia Bhatt opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD.
For the uninitiated, Jigra saw a theatrical release on October 11. Apart from being the lead actress, this also marks the diva`s second film as a producer.
That being said, Alia finds peace in front of the camera and while spending time with her daughter, Raha Kapoor.

In a recent interview with Lallantop, the actress said, "I used to get zoned out from a young age. I used to get zoned out in the classroom or during conversations. Recently, I did a psychological test and found out that I am high on the ADHD spectrum. I have ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder). Whenever I told about this to my friends, they were like, ‘We always knew’. This is not some sort of revelation. But I didn`t know."
“Then I understood why I am at peace in front of the camera. I`m most present in that moment. Whenever I am in front of the camera, I am present as the character I am playing," she added.
Alia Bhatt concluded by saying, "And I`m most present in that moment. And now, after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present. These are the two moments in my life where I am more peaceful."
It was during last year`s Kapoor Christmas brunch when Alia and Ranbir Kapoor decided to reveal their daughter, Raha Kapoor`s, face to the media. Until then, they requested Paparazzi not to click her pictures.

The doted mother said the decision to make Raha`s face public wasn`t an easy one and made her super anxious.
Talking about the same, Alia Bhatt said, "I just didn’t want to be like a whole thing, and that one moment happened, and it was such a cute moment where she was holding both our faces like that."
