In a heartwarming gesture that underscores their commitment to social welfare, Nita and Mukesh Ambani organised a mass wedding for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra`s Palghar district. But the generosity didn`t stop there. Each bride was presented with a cheque for Rs 1.01 lakh as her "streedhan," a symbolic gesture of financial security.
Furthermore, the couples received a year`s worth of groceries and household items, covering a variety of 36 essential items and utensils. Appliances like a gas stove, mixer, and fan, along with mattresses and pillows, were also included in these thoughtful gifts. This comprehensive support ensured that the couples could start their new lives together without immediate financial worries.
The ceremony concluded with a grand dinner, followed by a mesmerising performance of the traditional Tarpa dance by the Warli Tribe. This cultural showcase added another layer of richness to the event.
