While many veteran actresses decided to marry outside the film industry, several divas from the younger generation are following in their footsteps too. One of them is Janhvi Kapoor. The Dhadak actress has been reportedly dating businessman Shikhar Pahariya for quite some time now.
While she has neither confirmed nor denied their relationship, her father, Boney Kapoor, did the same.
The actress and the entrepreneur started making headlines when they were spotted going on dinner dates. The two have been seen attending several social events together. Rumors started getting more concrete after Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya were spotted at the Ambani pre-wedding bash as they posed together.
Now, in a recent interview, Boney Kapoor confirmed their relationship and expressed his fondness for Shikhar. The filmmaker even mentioned how he has always been there for the Kapoor family.
Opening up on Janhvi`s boyfriend, the doted father said, “I love him (Shikhar), and in fact, a couple of years ago, Janhvi was not seeing him, but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he could never be an ex. He’ll be around."

"When any person is there for you in any capacity, whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, or whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our setup,” Boney further added.
While Janhvi Kapoor has not officially confirmed dating Shikhar Pahariya, the two have never shied away from stepping out for dates or being spotted at social events together.
The lovebirds recently partied together as they celebrated the Bawaal actress`s sister, Khushi Kapoor`s, birthday. The two even took a trip together to Tirupathi Balaji temple in Tirumala on Janhvi`s 27th birthday.
Talking about her interesting dating life, Karan Johar asked, "You have had an interesting path of love; you were dating Shikhar, and then you dated someone else, and now you are dating Shikhar again. True or False?"
Referring to a song from the film Rockstar, she said, "Have you heard that song, Nadaan Parinde Ghar Aaja? Shikhar used to sing that to me a lot."

Janhvi Kapoor even spoke about Shikhar`s equation with her family and how he has always been there for all of them without expecting anything in return.
Taking a moment, she said, "I won`t say that, but I will say this: he is, not just for me, but for her (Khushi), for dad, and for everyone in our family; he has been there from the start as a friend. Not in a way that made me feel like he was expecting anything, a pushover, or any of those things."
"He was just there in a very selfless, dignified way, and in a way that I have not seen many men capable of being there for another human being," the diva further added.
