BTS’s J-Hope Hints at a 2025 Reunion With The Group After Enlistment

The anticipation surrounding the return of the global K-pop superstars BTS is palpable. While the group paused activities for mandatory military service, the wait is nearing its end. Jin completed his service in June 2024, followed shortly by J-Hope. Now, fans eagerly await June 2025, when RM, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are set to finish their enlistments.
J-Hope, for instance, recently concluded his successful North American tour, "Hope on the Stage," captivating audiences with solo hits like “MORE” and “Daydream.” Yet, a unique excitement filled the arenas when he performed iconic BTS tracks like “Mic Drop,” highlighting the irreplaceable synergy the seven members create together – the very energy that propelled them to global dominance.
The members have certainly evolved. RM explored existential hip-hop, Jin embraced pop ballads, Suga focused on sharp rap and production, J-Hope delved into old-school hip-hop, V explored jazz and R&B, Jimin experimented with electronica-pop, and Jungkook delivered catchy, radio-ready hits.

J-Hope confirmed the members are just as eager as their fans, known as ARMY, for the reunion. “I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service,” he stated. Crucially, he revealed their immediate plans post-service: “We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it’s going to be a massive energy.”

However, HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang indicated that preparation time will be necessary before activities resume, allowing the members to deliberate on their future direction. This might mean new music isn`t immediate in 2025, but it ensures a thoughtful return. As RM previously reflected, after achieving immense success, the core focus returns to "the music.”
The stage is set for a highly anticipated reunion. With individual growth fuelling their return, the next chapter for BTS promises to be powerful, driven by renewed energy and a shared vision for the future.
