Bobby Deol in Hari Hara Veera Mallu as Aurangzeb
The resounding success of Animal has created a ripple effect, compelling the makers of Pawan Kalyan`s epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu to completely reimagine Bobby Deol`s role as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. This dramatic overhaul promises a more formidable and complex antagonist, elevating the much-anticipated period drama to new heights.
A source close to the production revealed that after seeing his mind-blowing performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, Bobby’s role was significantly rewritten. The director, Jyothi Krishna, confirmed that Aurangzeb’s character now possesses a detailed backstory. His look, pivotal scenes with Pawan Kalyan, and action sequences were all re-shot to build a more imposing figure.
The director was captivated by Bobby`s ability to convey profound emotion with minimal dialogue in Animal. “Bobby Deol garu’s performance in Animal was spellbinding,” stated Jyothi Krishna. “The way he conveyed deep emotion without uttering a word was mesmerising. It made me realise that Aurangzeb’s arc in our film needed more depth, power, and complexity.”
This creative shift led to a complete rewrite, focusing on the character`s motivations and emotional layers. Upon hearing the revised script, Bobby was reportedly thrilled to explore these new dimensions. Jyothi Krishna added that the actor has "killed it" in the film and that his portrayal is now more "intense, elegant, and commanding."
