Prem Chopra diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis, undergoes surgery
Veteran actor Prem Chopra was rushed to the hospital after he complained of severe congestion. His hospital visits have been going on for weeks. The actor later got discharged and is now recuperating well.
The news of his hospitalisation came amid Dharmendra`s passing, leaving fans all the more worried about losing another gem. However, Chopra seems to be doing fine now.
His son-in-law and actor Sharman Joshi shared a note on social media and thanked the medical experts for their extensive care, adding that Prem Chopra underwent a successful TAVI procedure.
Sharman Joshi shares Prem Chopra`s health update
The actor took to Instagram on Monday and shared a detailed update on the veteran actor`s health, reassuring fans he is recovering well. In one of the photos, senior actor Jeetendra can also be seen.
Sharman took to Instagram and wrote, "On behalf of our family, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and admiration for the exemplary treatment my father-in-law, Mr Prem Chopra Ji, received from esteemed cardiologists Dr Nitin Gokhale and interventional cardiologist Dr Ravinder Singh Rao."

"Dad was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis, and Dr Rao successfully performed the TAVI procedure, replacing the valve without open-heart surgery. Dr Gokhale`s consistent guidance at every step gave us immense confidence. Their expertise ensured a smooth procedure, complication-free treatment, and a fast recovery. Dad is now home and feeling much better. We will always be thankful for the exceptional support and care he received," he added.
What happened to Prem Chopra?
Earlier in November, the Bobby actor was admitted to Mumbai`s Lilavati Hospital due to chest congestion. He was discharged a week later on November 15.
As per reports, doctors confirmed he already has an existing heart condition and had also developed a viral lung infection. While this sounded serious, doctors assured him he was never in a critical state.
The medical experts shared that these are age-related issues that are taking the veteran actor longer than usual to recover from.
