Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 5
Ajay Devgn`s latest cinematic offering, "Raid 2," has captured the audience`s attention since its premiere on May 1, 2025. The crime thriller is making impressive strides at the box office, steadily inching closer to the coveted ₹80 crore mark within just five days of its release.
The film witnessed a commendable occupancy rate of 15.10% in the Hindi market on its first Monday. Morning shows kicked off with a 7.24% turnout, which climbed to 14.32% in the afternoon. The momentum continued with evening shows peaking at 22.77%, while night shows recorded a solid 16.06% occupancy.
A key indicator of the film`s success, as Adarsh pointed out, is its ability to draw crowds without relying on typical commercial movie tropes. “Interestingly, Raid [first part] had collected Rs 63.05 crore in its entire first week, while Raid 2 has surpassed that total in just four days [Thursday to Sunday],” he noted. He concluded, “The day-wise trend clearly indicates that the film has found strong acceptance – and that too without the usual commercial trappings: no high-octane action, no masala elements, and no chartbuster music. All eyes are now on the crucial Monday, following a terrific extended weekend.”
Raid 2 began its theatrical run with a strong opening of ₹19.25 crore, further boosted by a Sunday collection of ₹22 crore. Sacnilk reported that the film “exceeded expectations” on its release day, partly due to the partial holiday on Maharashtra Day and Labour Day, stating, “The trade was anticipating a little lower opening day, which still would have been a very good start, but here, the film showed what a sequel can do.” The film managed this impressive start despite clashing with Akshay Kumar`s "Kesari Chapter 2."

Taran Adarsh reviewed the film positively, calling it “Sharp. Edgy. Engaging... Solid second half, powerhouse performances [#AjayDevgn, #RiteishDeshmukh], thunderous dialogue are major highlights... First half works in parts... Overall, lives up to expectations.” He particularly praised Ajay Devgn`s "top form" and called Riteish Deshmukh "a revelation," adding, "#RiteishDeshmukh is a revelation, he is outstanding... A restrained, menacing act that demands attention... His silences speak, his eyes do the talking." While noting some negatives like underutilized talent and forced songs, Adarsh`s final word was encouraging: “#Raid2 is a gripping cat-and-mouse thriller that delivers on its promise... Worth a watch!”
