RRR actor Ram Charan was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday as he made an exit. He looked absolutely stunning in an all-black appearance with his moustache and some stubble beard. Something that caught everyone`s eyes was the fact that he was wearing no footwear and was walking bare feet as he entered Mumbai. Here`s the reason behind this.
Ram Charan is a devotee of Lord Ayyappa and pays a visit to the famous Sabarimala Temple in Kerala every year to seek blessings. This is part of the Ayyappa Deeksha ritual and according to the tradition, anyone who follows Ayyappa Deeksha have to wear only black clothes and not use any footwear. Along with this, they are also not allowed to cut their hairs during this period of 41 days. The rituals also demand from the devotees to stay away from all worldly pleasure for the specified period and sleep on the floor.
Ram Charan has shared what the entire ritual means to him. He explained how the Ayappa deeksha offers everyone a peaceful mind and it teaches us that money and luxury are not important in life but. The real devotion should to be towards god. He also advised all the youngsters to take up this Deeksha as it will help in bringing peace into their tense lives. For that reason, he said that even businessmen should attend the yatra and seek blessings from the lord.
He also shared an example of a divine experience when Lord Ayyappa saved him while doing a stunt sequence for his film Racha (2012). He was shooting the intro scene in Goa near a railway track. According to certain reports, while shooting the sequence, he met with an accident when some cables that were attached to the train snapped and collided with his car. He suffered minor injuries, in what could have been a fatal accident.
