2023 has been a great year for the Deols. With Dharmendra making a very special appearance in Karan Johar's Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani to Sunny Deol's Gadar 2, breaking records and causing havoc at the box office, it was a rollercoaster ride for the family. Apart from that, Bobby Deol has been getting lots of love for making a comeback with Animal. His performance as Abrar has been appreciated by everyone, even though some have criticized the film for what it chooses to glorify.

Sunny Deol reviews Animal

Sunny Deol watched Animal, and although he liked the film overall, he had certain concerns about it. Speaking of the same, he said, "I am genuinely happy for Bobby. I have watched Animal, and I liked it. It's a nice film. There are certain things that I did not like, which I don't like in many films, including my own. But as a person, I have the right to like or not like it it, but in totality, it is a nice film."

Showering praise on his brother Bobby Deol, he added, "The music is very good, and it goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby has always been Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby."

Animal Has Collected More Than 700 Crore at Box Office

Amidst all the criticism it has been receiving, Animal has been doing exceptionally well at the global box office, with people continuing to storm theaters to watch the film. It has collected more than 700 crores and has already become the 3rd highest grossing Indian film of the year.

The film had certain frivolous takes on women's agency and was filled with misogynistic scenes. While Sunny Deol didn't get into the specifics of what he didn't like about the film, it is possible that he may have felt uncomfortable watching these scenes.

In the middle of all the criticism, Tripti Dimri and Bobby Deol have come out in defense of the film and the characters that the two play.

Animal is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.
