Chhava Teaser: Can You Spot Akshaye Khanna In Vicky Kaushal`s Period Drama?

This year is filled with some gripping movies and binge-worthy content that will make storytelling only better. Chhava, one of the most anticipated movies of 2024, has kept the fans and moviegoers waiting with bated breath.

For the uninitiated, the upcoming period drama narrates the courageous life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who fought against the menacing Mughals after his father's death.

The movie features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. The makers of Chhava finally unveiled the teaser of the film, leaving everyone awestruck.

The makers of the upcoming period drama revealed the first official teaser on the day Stree 2 was released in cinemas. The clip of Chhava's teaser was leaked on social media. However, the fine print of the ethical viewing is a treat for every history lover.

Vicky Kaushal, who will be essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, confirmed that the film will see a theatrical release on December 6.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, the actor wrote, "Protector of Swarajya. Defender of Dharma. #Chhava: An epic of a courageous warrior. The Warrior Roars... on 6th December 2024." See the teaser here.



In the 1.07-minute teaser, the national award winner can be seen taking on hundreds of soldiers singlehandedly as he channels his inner fearless warrior to protect the Maratha empire from the Mughal Raj. The movie shows Kaushal like never before as he dons long hair and period costumes, thus transporting us to the ancient era.

Apart from Vicky's whistle-worthy introduction and intense action sequences, what grabs attention is seasoned actor Akshaye Khanna's shocking transformation as he plays the ruthless Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

Rashmika Mandanna on working in Chhava

The actress, who plays the role of Yesbuai Bhonsle, was missing from the Chhava's teaser. However, in a previous interaction with ANI, Rashmika shared her experience working on Laxman Utekar's period drama.


"We had a blast shooting for 'Chhaava'. We have been keeping 'Chhava' as a very hush-hush because we want to package it beautifully for all of you. But I had a blast working with Vicky, and today I am walking with him, which made it more special. We have something very exciting for you. Look forward to it."

The upcoming period drama is based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. It narrates the undaunted and heroic story of how the Marathas kept the Mughals away from ruling India.

Helmed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, Chhava will release on December 6 in cinemas near you.
