Fardeen Khan, the actor who was last seen in his 2010 film 'Dulha Mil Gaya', is returning to the screen after a 14-year hiatus. The 'No Entry' actor will play the role of Wali Mohammed in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming Netflix series, 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar'. During the recent trailer launch of the series, Fardeen Khan became emotional about his comeback with one of the most anticipated shows of 2024, in collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He expressed gratitude for his journey thus far.

Although Fardeen Khan delivered unforgettable performances in films such as No Entry, Heyy Babyy, and All the Best: Fun Begins in the 2000s, he voluntarily took a break from the film industry for personal reasons. During the trailer launch event of Heeramandi, Bhansali's highly anticipated upcoming series, Fardeen Khan discussed his return to the big screen.He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with a stellar cast, on a platform like Netflix, and with Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. After a long gap of almost 14 years, he couldn't have hoped for a better opportunity to return to the screen as an actor.

Fardeen expressed feeling overwhelmed upon returning to work after a long hiatus, particularly under the direction of such a talented director. However, he found comfort in his character, making the experience easier. He stated, 'For me, this was something I have never done, and it was the perfect role for me. At the age I am in, to come back to the screen, you come with a certain amount of life experience, wisdom, and you know you can you can really contribute to the layers that Sanjay writes into all his characters. His characters are very intricate, very complex. There's nobody like him who writes characters. He goes across the spectrum and emotions, and he has this intuitive understanding of it. It's daunting to work with him, but at the same time, when you see it all together, it just all makes sense.'
To conclude, the 'Heyy Babyy' actor said that he was extremely thankful to Bhansali for giving him this opportunity. Fardeen said, 'I'm getting emotional now... I am extremely grateful for this chance and so happy to be here.'
