Currently the vice captain of the Indian cricket team in ODIs and T20s, Hardik Pandya started playing cricket at the age of 5 when his father put him and his brother in a cricket club, sensing that they were good at it. Since then, he has shown why he is one of the best all-rounders in India.

Hardik Pandya started receiving a lot of attention after his performance in the IPL while playing with the Mumbai Indians from 2015 to 2021. After shifting teams in 2022, he led the Gujarat Titans team to victory in the IPL in his debut as a captain.

1. He was a leg spinner before taking to fast bowling.

Before taking up fast bowling, Hardik Pandya was a leg spinner. Until the age of 18, he trained to bowl as a spinner as well as focused on his batting. It was only after his coach insisted that he take up fast-bowling that he started practicing as one. The rest is history, as over the years we have seen him take some important wickets and restrict the opposite side by giving minimum runs with his dynamic bowling.

2. He was dropped from the state-level team due to his "attitude problem."

Cricket is a game where a lot of emotions come into play, and sometimes they find a resort that is not always pleasant. Termed by his friends and teammates as a player who shows a lot of passion on the field, Hardik Pandya was once dropped from his state-level team owing to an attitude problem. Hardik explained his side of the story by saying that he has always been expressive and doesn't like to suppress his emotions.

3. Hardik Pandya has a luxurious collection of cars and watches.

Hardik Pandya has never shied away from glamour, and he styles himself in line with the new fashion. Along with that, he is a sports car enthusiast, owning a luxurious collection of cars. According to many reports, he owns a Lamborghini Huracan EVO that costs around Rs. 4 crore. He also owns a Mercedes-Benz G-Class G63 AMG as well as an Audi A6, among others. Along with that, he likes wearing sophisticated watches. His most expensive watch includes a Patek Philippe Nautilius that costs around Rs 2.7 crore!



4. Hardik Pandya has four tattoos on his hands.

Hardik Pandya is perhaps the most stylish cricketer India has ever seen. He has a total of four tattoos on his hands that express his way of life. Apart from the tattoo of a tiger, there are various quotes inprinted on his arms, like "Never give up" and "Time is money".



5. He became the fourth Indian to be named player of the match on his ODI debut.

Hardik Pandya has broken and made many new records for his name ever since his debut. In his ODI debut against New Zealand, he was named the player of the match. With this, he became the fourth Indian to do so after Sandeep Patil, Mohit Sharma, and KL Rahul. To be crowned the player of the match right after your very first match in your international career is a big thing.
