The announcement for Season 2 arrived in a style as grand as the series itself. A vibrant flash mob of women danced to the show's popular tracks like "Sakal Ban" and "Tilasmi Bahein," their swirling skirts and rhythmic steps echoing the bygone era. Ek nayi duniya me sar utha ke jeeney ki jung. (On August 15, 1947, the fight for independence ended. For these courtesans, another battle beganmdashthe struggle to live with dignity in a new world.)" This cryptic message suggests that Season 2 will delve into the challenges faced by the tawaifs (courtesans) after the partition of India in 1947.
