In a heartbreaking turn of events, Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora, tragically passed away in Mumbai. The incident, which has shocked the entertainment industry, took place on Wednesday morning, leaving fans and family members grappling with grief.

According to reports, Anil Arora died by suicide, jumping from the terrace of a six-floor residential building in Bandra, Mumbai. The tragic incident occurred at around 10:30 AM at the family's residence, Ayesha Manor, located in Bandra West. No suicide note was recovered from the scene.

Mumbai police immediately arrived at the scene, and the body was sent for a postmortem. Authorities have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.

Malaika Arora's ex-husband, actor Arbaaz Khan, was seen at the family residence soon after the incident. Reports suggest that he was seen speaking with Mumbai police officials, offering his support to the grieving family.

Anil Arora was originally from Punjab, while Malaika's mother, Joyce Polycarp, hails from a Malayali Christian background. The two had separated when Malaika was just 11 years old, with her younger sister Amrita being six at the time.

Malaika has often spoken about the impact of her parents' separation on her life. In an earlier interview, she shared, 'My parents' separation allowed me to observe my mother through a new and unique lens. I learnt a rock-steady work ethic and the value of getting up each morning to do whatever it takes to become fiercely independent. Those early lessons are the cornerstones of my life and professional journey. I am still fiercely independent I value my freedom and live life on my terms.'

The two sisters, Malaika and Amrita, were primarily raised by their mother, Joyce Polycarp, after the separation. Despite the challenges, Malaika described her childhood as 'wonderful,' though not without its struggles. "I had a wonderful childhood, but it wasn't easy. In fact, in retrospect, the word I would use to describe it is tumultuous. But tough times teach you important lessons too," Malaika had revealed in another interview.
