Earlier today, it was rumoured that father-to-be Ranveer Singh walked out of Prasanth Varma's Rakshas, citing creative differences. Now, there's an update to it. It was indeed a rumour that the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani actor wasn't working in the film. The latest update suggests that the production for the film has begun and even states that Ranveer Singh has already shot some parts.

One source working on the film was quoted saying, 'It's absolutely untrue that Prasanth Varma and Ranveer Singh have parted ways due to creative differences in their upcoming film from PCU (Prasanth Cinematic Universe). On the contrary, they even began shooting for the movie in Hyderabad after performing a pooja ceremony on Hanuman Jayanthi.'

'Prasanth even shot for the film till 4 a.m. on Tuesday, and Ranveer has already shot a few portions. There's time for an official announcement to be made about the project,' the source added. This naturally confirms that the Hanuman director's film is on the right track with the original cast, as it was reported previously.

Here's how the rumour started

Earlier, it was reported that in April, Ranveer travelled to Hyderabad for a photoshoot for the film's announcement. Although official plans were made for the announcement, they were supposedly halted. One source quoted, 'Ranveer Singh will no longer be a part of Prashanth Varma's Rakshas. They have amicably parted ways due to creative differences.'

One report suggested that the actor and director tried to find common ground towards a solution but decided to part ways after failed negotiations. This has resulted in the film's makers restarting the casting auditions.

One source close to the expecting couple talked about how Ranveer Singh is focusing on his family right now. They also said that he's putting work on hold now to look after his wife and become parents together.

The source said, 'He is prioritising family over his hectic film schedule. While he is hearing a lot of scripts, his focus is to invest more time in the family. He is secure with his line-up while continuing to read more to have exciting projects under his kitty. The two confirmed films at the moment include Don 3 and Shaktimaan. There's Aditya Dhar's next, also in the writing stage.'
