Bengali Rock band Fossils completes 25 years
Team Radio City Freedom
Bengali rock band Fossils is all set to celebrate their 25th anniversary! Through a rich legacy of 8 albums, and innumerable live shows, both overseas and countrywide, they plan to celebrate their 25th Birthday with a bang!
Fossils isn't just a name in the Indian Independent Music Scene, it's an institution on its own. With their extremely mature ideas and soundscapes, the band wasn't afraid of going to unchartered territories never before explored in the entire country at that time! Obviously their content was a bit too early and matured for the audience to ingest. Going through a spectacular journey Fossils have managed to successfully carve out a niche audience with their extremely wide range and variety of songs, dealing with emotions ranging from extremely mellifluous ballads like "Hasnuhana", "Keno Korle Erokom", or "Bhoot aar Tilottoma" to angsty teeth grinding headbangers like "Acid", "Bishakto Manush", "Bnaador", "Bicycle Chor", "Dhongsho Romonthon" or "Shoytaan" to enigmatic and operatic epics like "Mohakaash", "Dewali-pee" or "Phire Chaulo"!
Get the Elated Experience as Allan Ao's lightning shreds join hands with Deep Ghosh's rocksteady riffs, while Tanmoy's seamless double pedals merge with Pom Chakraborty's thumping bass lines, while Rupam Islam weaves magic with his rich poetry and immaculate singing prowess and inimitable stage theatrics!!
The 90's of Kolkata underwent massive changes in all aspects but the upheaval in the Musical arena was probably the most significant and versatile. Fossils, the Pioneer of Rock band of Bengal came, and won the hearts of the generation through their realistic and relatable lyrics and sound resembled the cry of the youthful hearts.
