Sanjana Ganesan Gives Befitting Reply To Trolls Mocking Her Son Angad Bumrah

While the ongoing T20 tournament has had fans divided in supporting their favourite teams, some netizens can get pretty nasty and judgemental when it comes to commenting on cricket players` families. This time, it was Jasprit Bumrah`s son who became the talk of the town.
During the Mumbai-Lucknow match on Sunday, Sanjana Ganesan took to her Instagram and penned a long note, slamming those trolling her son, Angad Bumrah, over his facial expressions.
With the match happening at Mumbai`s Wankhede Stadium, Jasprit Bumrah was in form as he led the team to victory. However, his wife and sports broadcaster became rather upset due to some weird comments on their son`s expression.
Ganesan urged netizens to stop making bizarre assumptions about her toddler based on a few minutes of some random footage.
Taking it to Instagram, she wrote, "Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment. Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a despicable, vile place to be, and I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else."

The doted mother further added, “Throwing around words like trauma and depression in reference to a baby says so much about who we`re becoming as a community, and it`s honestly really sad. You know nothing about our son, nothing about our lives, and I request you to keep your opinions online true to that.”
On Sunday, Mumbai`s pacer recorded history after becoming the highest wicket-taker for Mumbai in the T20 tournament. His triumphant four-wicket haul led his team to secure yet another glorious win in Lucknow.
The 31-year-old has played 139 matches with the franchise so far.
As for his personal life, Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan tied the knot in 2021. They recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in March 2025.
It was in 2023 that they welcomed their first child, Angad Bumrah.
