Jigra Trailer Out: Till What Extent Will Alia Bhatt Go To Save Brother Vedang?

One of the highly anticipated movies, Jigra, will see Alia Bhatt like never before. Pairing up with newbie Vedang Raina as her on-screen brother, the story narrates a strong bond between the two siblings and to what extent a sister can go to protect her brother.

After its poster reveal and releasing some amazing songs, the makers have now unveiled the trailer for Jigra, making fans want for more. The video gives a further glimpse into the lives of Satya (Alia Bhatt), an older sister, and Ankur (Vedang Raina), the younger brother.

For the uninitiated, the film brings together the two actors for the first time on the big screen. The upcoming action drama also marks the actress's second project as a producer.

A sister, whose only aim is to protect her little brother against all odds, the trailer gives a glimpse of the gravity of the situation where Alia is on a mission to rescue Vedang from a foreign prison.

The clip begins with Satya getting a call about her brother being arrested in a foreign country, possibly for drug consumption. It then shows how she desperately tries different methods to arrange a meeting with Ankur.

As the Jigra trailer starts building up an intense storyline, we meet several pivotal characters who also act as a huge help for Alia Bhatt with the mammoth task.

Along with the two leading stars, Jigra sees actors like Manoj Pahwa playing a crucial character as Alia's mentor. Her real-life best friend Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor also makes a special appearance as an air hostess.

While the upcoming movie is filled with high-octane action and intense drama, what connected most with the fans was the undying love between two siblings and how the elder sister always looked out for her little one.

The movie will be helmed by Monica, O My Darling fame Vasan Bala. He is known to direct murder mysteries and crime thrillers like Peddlers and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.

The film will also see a special collaboration of Alia Bhatt with Diljit Dosanjh. The two celebrities will recreate their infamous song, Ikk Kudi from Udta Punjab. Jigra's song, Chal Kudiye, is already garnering massive buzz.

The Alia Bhatt-Vedang Raina starrer was announced earlier last year in February. The announcement video narrated a tale of a sister's love for a brother and to what extent she can go to protect him.

Marking the two actors' first on-screen collaboration, Jigra is all set to release on October 11 in cinemas near you.
