Modi and US Event: Hanumankind, Devi Sri Prasad, Aditya Gadhvi Perform

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States has not only been marked by key diplomatic meetings but also by a vibrant cultural event held at the Nassau Coliseum in New York. The event, attended by 15,000 members of the Indian diaspora, saw stunning performances by global artists Hanumankind, Devi Sri Prasad, and Aditya Gadhvi, who shared the stage for the first time.
Star Performances Light Up the Stage
The cultural extravaganza featured diverse performances by talented artists from India, who had been preparing for days to make this event special. Among the highlights was hip-hop sensation Hanumankind, a Kerala-based artist who performed his viral hit 'Big Dawgs.' The song, which recently entered the top 10 on the Billboard Global 200 charts, electrified the audience. After his performance, PM Modi greeted him with the words 'Jai Hanuman' before giving him a hug and shaking his hand.Aditya Gadhvi also mesmerised the audience with his superhit track 'Khalasi,' showcasing the richness of Gujarati folk music. Devi Sri Prasad, known for his high-energy performances, added another layer of excitement to the evening. The gathering marked the first time these three artists performed together on the same stage, creating a moment of cultural unity.

A Cultural Melting Pot at Nassau Coliseum
The event wasn't just about contemporary music. The Nassau Coliseum stage also embraced India's rich traditional heritage. Artists performed the Yakshagana, a traditional folk dance from Karnataka and parts of Kerala, enthralling the audience with its intricate movements and vibrant costumes.In another heartwarming performance, members of the Indian diaspora from Tamil Nadu played the 'Parai,' an ancient drum used in festivals and rituals. The Parai has long been a symbol of community gatherings in Tamil culture, known for its rhythmic beats and significance in temple festivals.
A group also performed Mallakhamb, an acrobatic activity that originated in Maharashtra, demonstrating agility, strength, and balance in a captivating show earlier in the day.

In addition to attending the cultural event, PM Modi's visit included high-profile bilateral meetings and a CEO Roundtable in New York. He will also address the Summit of the Future on September 23. The prime minister shared his enthusiasm about the trip, saying, 'After programmes in Delaware, landed in New York. Eager to be among the diaspora at the community programme in the city and to take part in other programmes.'
