While his food habits upset Parveen, the actor confesses that he wants to continue the same diet plan to maintain a good physique.
"Just switch to sweet potatoes. So I've got two staple meals every day, and I've got the same thing every year. It's extremely boring, but I've got chicken keema because it's kind of easy to digest and it's boiled. Then I've got salad and sweet potatoes. My cook stocks it, makes it for like an entire week, and we bifurcate through the day," Hashmi said.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Emraan Hashmi was asked about his character and if it was based on Karan Johar's life. Denying the same, he mentioned the script is totally anecdotal.
"Not true at all. If you ask the writers or the director, they will probably not give you an answer they'll say that it's based on any producer. Through their experiences in the industry, it's a sum total of a lot of people they have encountered, interactions that they have had, and anecdotal stuff that they have probably heard. Maybe as an audience member, you might pick up a similarity with a real person," said the actor.
Showtime premieres on Disney+ Hotstar and is headlined by Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Mouni Roy. It is produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment.
