National Award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has officially announced the release date for his much-anticipated film, The Delhi Files. Agnihotri, known for his previous impactful works such as The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, is once again venturing into uncharted historical territories. The upcoming project promises to bring to light a significant chapter of Indian history. In an exciting update, the director shared that The Delhi Files will be split into two parts, with the first part, The Bengal Chapter, slated for release on August 15, 2025.

A Two-Part Historical Saga: The Bengal Chapter

In a recent social media post, Vivek Agnihotri revealed the reason behind dividing his film into two parts. He wrote, 'After years of research, the story of #TheDelhiFiles is too powerful for one part. We're excited to bring you The Bengal Chapter - the first of two parts, unveiling a significant chapter in our history.' This division signals that the historical narrative is vast and cannot be confined to a single film.

Agnihotri's decision to release The Bengal Chapter on August 15, India's Independence Day, adds symbolic weight to the project. This reflects the filmmaker's dedication to delivering stories that resonate with the country's socio-political environment. Agnihotri will direct the film himself, continuing his journey of telling powerful, often controversial, historical stories.
