Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are among the most lovable couples in the country. They have shown time and again what true companionship is and how two people can empower each other as they live together. On many occasions, both of them have expressed their gratitude to each other without mincing words. The ace cricketer turns a year older today.

For the uninitiated, the actor-cricketer couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Italy in 2017. They surprised everyone when they announced the news of their marriage.

In an old interview, Anushka Sharma called her husband 'the greatest man in the world'. She has proven that she means every word that she is saying about him when we see her cheering like a child for him during the match.

No one can forget the hug that she gave him after the staggering loss in the 2023 World Cup.

She had also added in the same interview, "I think we are both not so attached to what we do. We don't see ourselves as the power couple. If we start to see ourselves that way, then there is something really wrong with the nature of our relationship. If someone really wants to have an insight into our lives, we are very simple people, wanting to do normal, very simple things."

Their simplicity is evoked whenever they are spotted together or when some of their candid moments from interviews go viral. It proves that, before anything else, they are each other's best friends.

Even the former Indian skipper credits his ladylove as a major driver of change in his life. The one who was reckless and a party animal is now seen attending spiritual gatherings and being a doted father.

He had said, "I started evolving when Anushka came into my life. And vice versa. We have both helped each other grow. I wouldn't have been able to go on with so much composure, passion, and zeal if it wasn't for her in my life."

He found that he had completely changed since he met her. Adding more about it, Kohli said, "If I hadn't met her, I don't know where I would have been. She has alleviated me as a person, and that has eventually filtered through in cricket. She is absolutely my better half."

After tying the knot in 2017, the couple welcomed their first child, a girl whom they named Vamika, in 2021. Earlier this year, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli embraced parenthood for the second time with the birth of their son, Akaay.

Radio City wishes the GOAT cricketer a very happy birthday. We can't wait for your magnanimous comeback on the field.
