Pakistan and its entertainment industry have been infamously known for their amazing and cultural content. However, a video of a Pakistani model, Roma Michael, walking the ramp in a bikini at the beauty pageant Miss Grand International 2024 went viral online.

As soon as the video was posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), it received major criticism and sparked a huge controversy. This forced Roma to take down the video after being slammed by several sections.

Roma Michael was furiously trending all over social media after reports suggested that she deleted the video from her account following a tremendous backlash over her choice of outfit.

Her now-deleted video was shared by several other social media accounts before she took down the video. Several users felt she took the step after being the victim of conservative moral policing in Pakistan.

As soon as she started trending on social media, many users took to X and shared their opinion.

One user wrote, 'Social media backlash forced her to delete the video, highlighting cultural tensions regarding women's attire in Pakistan,' while another comment added that her outfit has sparked 'discussions on cultural representation and personal freedom.'


But who is Roma Michael?

The Pakistani model, who is representing her country in the beauty pageant Miss Grand International 2024, has a bachelor's degree in BTech from the University of South Asia.

She has made a name for herself in the Pakistani film industry as a professional model and actress. Not only this, Michael has also worked with several established fashion designers and brands around the world.

The grand finale of Miss Grand International 2024 will be held on October 25.
