Renowned filmmaker Guneet Monga, who won the Oscar this year for The Elephant Whisperers, has recently dropped pictures from Cannes 2023 red carpet. The filmmaker dazzled on the red carpet of the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival in a golden saree. On Wednesday, the talented Oscar-winning producer expressed her gratitude to the Indian Government delegation and shared a couple of pictures from the red carpet.

Dr. L Murugan, the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, who is leading the Indian delegation at the Cannes film festival, and Manipuri actor Kangabam Tomba were also spotted on the red carpet along with the filmmaker. While sharing the pictures, Guneet penned a note in the caption in which she expressed her excitement to be a part of the event and also thanked the delegation for providing her with the opportunity to represent the country on the global stage.

She graced the event in a golden saree and completed her look with minimal accessories. Guneet wrote in the caption,"So delighted to be at the Cannes Film Festival 2023 as a part of the Indian government delegation. India is now on the global stage in world cinema, and it's an honor to be a part of this momentous occasion. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Indian government and FICCI for providing me with this incredible opportunity to represent our country on this global stage."

She also added,"It's great to be back home at Cannes. I love the energy of the festival and just walking up and down the street, meeting friends from the fraternity, and celebrating the cinema. On the other hand, Guneet and director Kartiki Gonsalves won the Oscar for Best Documentary Short for The Elephant Whisperers. The is 41 minutes long and portrays the bond between a baby elephant and his caretakers named Bellie and Bomman.
