World Environment Day 2023: Bollywood Stars Who Raise Their Voice For Environmental Issues

-

Our environment is degrading badly and we as human beings are not fulfilling our responsibilities. But, some Bollywood celebrities are trying their best to create awareness about environmental issues and are taking initiatives for promoting eco-friendly practices and encouraging people for taking action. On this World Environment Day, let's have a look at how B-town celebrities are trying so hard to save mother nature.

1. Jackie Shroff:

This World Environment Day, Jackie Shroff carried saplings as gifts and urged people in his style to plant trees. He even says, "Ped lagao bhidu, sabka kaam hai ped lagana". Surprisingly, he is even called "Captain Planet" on social media. He even calls himself mad and says,'Not everyone is like me, roaming with a plant, like a mad guy.'

You must be thinking what motivates to do him so, well he has always seen people roaming with umbrellas to protect themselves from the harsh sunlight and there were fewer trees around. He took a big step and started taking responsibility for how an environment should be kept and cared for. He says,'There are some who work towards the cause. But I have seen the attitude of many who try to put the onus on others rather than taking responsibility.'

2. Priyanka Chopra:

Priyanka Chopra is a queen indeed, she is vocal about environmental issues and leaves no chance to make people aware of them. She is a global icon and through her association with UNICEF, she has tried her best to create a better world for the youth and the children. She also participated in Greenathon which is focused to promote eco-friendly campaign habits and teaching us about how nature can be safe.
